ӽ has earned a place on ǰ’ list of top colleges that produce the best academic and career outcomes for students from all economic backgrounds. DU's Library and Information Studies program was also lauded in a separate ranking.

America’s Top Colleges 2027, published last week, applauds ӽ—and 499 other institutions of higher learning—for educating "high-earning, successful and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt.”

These include graduation and retention rates, salaries of alumni, how often graduates earn PhDs, prestigious fellowships and awards, the amount of debt taken on by students and the overall return on their investment.

The 500 schools, Forbes notes, “offer a useful, data-driven starting point for identifying institutions producing strong results.”

“ӽ’s relatively low student-to-faculty ratio means that students can expect more individualized attention and smaller class sizes than at many other schools,” Forbes said. “The university also boasts the highest percentage of students enrolled in distance education, showing its aptitude for serving online learners.”

Earlier this month, U.S. News and World Report ranked ӽ #1 in the Midwest for Best Value and #3 for ensuring the social mobility of students. The university ranked within the top 20 Best Colleges in the Midwest for academic quality and graduate success.
